Before joining us, Jan was a Professor of Physics at Kenyon College in Ohio since 2005. While there, he developed and taught courses in Biological Physics and Quantum Optics in addition to the standard catalog. He received his BA in Physics from Berea College in Kentucky followed by his PhD in Physics and Astronomy from Northwestern. Before teaching at Kenyon College he spent three years as a Post Doc at Cornell.
